Emerging from its
earthbound roots and growing wings to fly into the unbound, RAMPHOS is
an amphibious flying hull with wings made of anti-UV mylar with sizes
ranging from 15 square meters
mounted as standard wing, up to 21 square meters can be mounted also
for a higher rate of climb. They come in either wire braced or
strutted topless wings.
Ramphos comes as two or 4-cylinder configuration, where different
engine size can be mounted ranging from 50 to 80 Hp (Rotax, Hirth,
etc.).
The propeller can be both two or three bladed, made of wood or
composite material. The propeller ring functions as a protective as
well as an anti-noise device.

The hull is made of common materials, which are easy to be found, therefore the hull can be easily repaired in case of necessity.
The very robust construction of the hull, allows Ramphos to be belly landed on grass and muddy surfaces, as well as marshland!
The overall design of the hull, which has derived from a meticulous hydrodynamic study, not only gives Ramphos high stability even on rough water, but allows it to perform a very quick passage to glide, with excellent directional control even in unfavorable weather conditions.
New features has come with the realization of the three-cycle configuration which, as you know, is very easy to handle on the ground.

The new design of the hand-operated
retractable undercarriage, makes it very easy to use, it just needs a
single movement to operate it (automatic blockage system). The
undercarriage mechanism and the main frame-inline two seats
configuration, are made of stainless steel, as the structural frame.
The latest, because of its particular design and arrangement gives, in
case of accident, a certain degree of protection to the main frame.
The same new features are now found in the bi-cycle configuration too.
Italian certification has been obtained, with maximum take-off weight
of 450 kg, in which condition 110 Km/h can be reached.
Stall speed is of 45 Km/h, and unloaded, Ramphos weights 210 Kg.
There are many options too, as the ballistic parachute, different size
wings, and digital flight instrumentation and with all Rotax engines
support (912 - 582 now not turned over).
Italian certification has been obtained, with maximum take-off weight
of 450 kg, in which condition 110 Km/h can be reached.
Stall speed is of 45 Km/h, and unloaded, Ramphos weights 210 Kg. with
standard configuration and 235 with Rotax 912 engine
It is clear that Ramphos can deliver outstanding features, and can
find many applications, such as in educational and holiday tours,
rescue, first aid, scientific research, TV commercials, etc..
